Royal Ascot – 6f Commonwealth Cup (Group 1)
In horse racing betting terms, this to me is the good thing of day four of Royal Ascot.
LITTLE BIG BEAR, one of the highest rate 2yo of the past decade came into this season as a Guineas contender only to finish tailed off after everything that went wrong could go wrong, but he didn’t half put that display well behind him next time out.
Dropped back down to 6f in the Group 2 Sandy Lane Stakes at Haydock he took a very good field apart with very little fuss.
Granted there was a track bias to where he raced that day, but the result was never in doubt, and I believe we will see the same again today in the Commonwealth Cup.
Royal Ascot – 1m Sandringham Stakes (Handicap)
JACKIE O is a very interesting runner here on the back of her run behind Tahuyra and Meditate in the Irish 1000 Guineas, where she was only beaten just over 5 lengths.
The experience she picked up on her last run will pay divides here and is a very good each way bet today.
She comes in here very much unexposed and on what might well be a mark she can take advantage of, especially when these top handicaps are so condensed from top to bottom weight. She can be an each way bet to noting.
With more to come, Jackie O should be right there for the team of the week, Ryan Moore and Aiden O’Brien.
