All eyes will be on the day one of the Galway Festival as the son of Annie Power makes his hurdles debut after a satisfactory racecourse debut in a bumper at Ballinrobe.
As expected his is in here as favourite, but I will be taking him on with Hypotenus.
Ran to a very decent level on the flat when trained in France, and has transformed that class to his career over hurdles.
Hurdles debut brought out a 2nd in a 4yo Grade 3 hurdle, and on the back of that was sent to the Triumph Hurdle where he became unsteerable and was eventually pulled up.
After a break he was entered in a Cork maiden where it look all over bar the shouting on the home turn, but as quick as that happened Hypotenus stride started to shorten and eventually got reeled in by Bojak.
You would hope coming here today that tactic will be slightly altered and will not see him let loose so early, and if doing so given the green light at the right time, I believe that Hypotenus experience over hurdles will play a big part in the winning of the first race on day one of the 2023 Galways Festival.
Best Bet Selection: Hypotenus 5/2
